Penny Pinscher Hello there and thank you for looking at me. My name is Penny. I am an adorable little red girl who needs a home. My life hasnt been all bad, but it hasnt been that great either. You see, in November Friends of Penny was contacted by a wonderful humane society about me. I was brought to the shelter by animal control. My former owners knew I had been bitten by a large breed dog and did nothing about it. A week later these nice officers came and got me and brought me to the shelter. They immediately sought medical attention for me and called Friends of Penny. When all was said and done, I had a hole in my rear flank and tubes sticking out of me from where the nice doctor worked on me. Now, dont get me wrong, I know it sounds horrible (and it was) I didnt mind them working on me I knew they were helping me get better. My new foster mom met a shelter worker at the vets office and brought me to her home. It wasnt so nice at first, but now I love it here. You see, because of my injury I wasnt allowed to play with the other dogs and well, whats the fun in being with other dogs if you cant play? Every night my foster mom took me to the bathtub and cleaned my wound. I gave her kisses while she did this. After all, even though it stung, she was doing it to make me better. And now I am, well almost. I still have a little scab and my fur is growing back. Ok, enough of the yucky stuff, you clicked on the picture to learn about me. Well, what can I tell you about me? I know my name and love to be with people. In fact, my foster mom calls me her shadow. I am young and love to play. Dont get me wrong; when its time to settle down and cuddle, I do that too. I am housebroken and super polite. When I get really excited my foster mom laughs because I make this snorting sound. She thinks it is so cute. Shed like to say a few words about me. Penny is an awesome little girl. She loves to run and play, but what she truly enjoys is human companionship. She is my little shadow and will follow me around everywhere. She rides well in the car and lets me know when she needs to go out. She does have a slight heart murmur, but that does not stop her. In fact, she has no limitations and leads a normal life. The only reason we know is from her visits to the vet. Which, by the way, she likes to go visit. She is a little social butterfly. Penny is medically cleared and ready to find her new home.
